Responsibilities
Proactively generate leads and solicit high-value shippers, including contract freight opportunities.
Focus on building relationships with high-level execs by understanding their shipping needs and providing the most efficient solutions.
Gain an in-depth understanding of the market to provide competitive quotes and negotiate annual bid renewals.
Collaborate with operation teams to ensure that customer needs are understood and supported.
Use established tools, software, and processes and ensure all data is updated and accurate.
Spend 50% of time conducting outside sales visits to close business.
Manage multiple priorities and maintain the flow of business information with a sense of urgency.
Responsible for building a profitable book of business and achieving sales goals.
Qualifications
Must have at least 3 years of truckload sales experience.
Experience and ability to build a $1.5M to $3M in gross profit book of business.
Entrepreneurial sales approach as there are no set territories.
Aptitude and appreciation for selling in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and follow-thru abilities.
Strong work ethic with a team mentality.
Normal working hours for this position are 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM CST Monday Friday.
